Discovering Britain's Biggest Untapped Market: Muslim Focus

On Monday 19th April at the 2010 London Book Fair DIPNET (Diversity in Publishing Network) in association with Muslim Writers Awards held a unique seminar focusing on the growing appetite to read 'Muslim literature'.

Panel members included Anna Perera, author of Guantanamo Boy and shortlist for the Costa Children's Book Award, Dr Claire Chambers, senior lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University, specialising in literary representations of British Muslims, Farahad Zama, author of the Marriage Bureau for Rich People which was a Richard & Judy and Daily Mail book of the month. The event was chaired by Shelina Zahra Janmohamed, journalist and author, her first book Love in a Headscarf won the MWA Published Non Fiction award in 2009.
