Sunny Hundal

Sunny is editor of the online magazine – Asians in Media, which has informed the industry since 2003. In 2005 and 2007 he helped prepare a list for the Guardian naming the most powerful Asians in British media. As a journalist and commentator he has written for the Metro, Financial Times, The guardian, The Times and Independent about the media industry, environmental issues and violence against women. He has a regular column on the Guardian’s website ‘Comment is Free’.
In 2007 he founded the thank-tank New Generation Network to challenge existing ideas around race and faith-based politics in the UK. In Feb 2007 he made a radio documentary for BBC Asian Network on Asian women who come here as brides and face abuse at home. He is a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts and on board of directors at Rifco Arts (Theatre Company), Punjab Heritage Association and Aik-saath (inter-faith conflict resolution group).
