Lauren Ace

Lauren is 22, Welsh, but now living in East London. She studied Drama at Exeter University and cut her teeth in the book trade with Waterstone’s, where she started as a Saturday girl when she was seventeen, and worked throughout university and beyond. The best thing about working in retail was discovering new talent and being involved in decisions like Book of the Month, which really is chosen by Bookesellers!
 
Lauren has been working as a Publicist at Little Tiger Press and Stripes Publishing for two months, but it already feels like forever. Her dream job is to be a children’s books reviewer, because then people would send her lots of free books and she could spend all her time reading and reviewing the wonderful breadth of literature. Lauren also quite likes the idea of growing old in a cosy children’s bookshop by the sea. Until then, she’s perfectly happy being the person who tries to persuade the reviewers to cover Little Tiger books. It’s really not that hard when you have a fantastic list to promote!
